Home Wiring 1940's and Earlier

If your home was built in the 1940’s or earlier, then chances are that it includes knob and tube wiring. The problem with this type of wiring is that it doesn’t have a third “grounding” wire, and is not safe for today’s kitchens, bathrooms, and other living spaces. Another issue with knob and tube wiring is that homes built during this era simply do not have the circuit capacity to handle the electrical requirements that today’s modern appliances demand.
